FAQ

Description: The Crystal Lake Trail provides an easy hike downhill downhill to a large alpine lake.  Because of the southern exposure, the hike back up to the trailhead is more difficult, especially if attempted after noon

Directions: Take Highway 83 to Lindbergh lake Road, USDA Forest Service Road #79, between mile markers 34 and 35. The road to the Crystal Lake trailhead is well maintained and passable throughout the warmer seasons. At two miles veer to the right toward the Lindbergh Lake Campground. Another one mile will have you turn off the main road toward Bunyan Lake (still USDA Forest Service Road Number 79). Follow the road an additional nine miles to the trailhead. There is space for six vehicles in the parking lot.*
