Lake size: 57 acres

Land ownership: Clearwater Wildlife Management Area

Facilities: There is a campground and restroom at Harpers lake, which is just 1/10 of a mile north of Blanchard Lake.  Both are accessed by the same road.

Boating regs: Standard boating regulations for the state of Montana.

How to launch: Carry your boat down to an open spot along the shore.

Description of paddle: This is a very small lake, essentially a wide spot in the Clearwater River. Because of the river, it can have a noticeable clockwise flow direction along the shoreline.

Potential issues: Paddling here during high water is not recommended. At any time of year, be cautious paddling near the inlet and outlet of the Clearwater River.
