Directions: From Clearwater Junction turn north on Highway 83 and travel approximately 34 miles to the sign for Lindbergh Lake, (Forest Service RD 79). Turn left on go about 3 miles to the Lindbergh Lake Campground. Follow the signs to the boat launch.

Description of paddle: The western lakeshore is forest service and eastern lakeshore is lined with private cabins. This lake runs roughly north/south and a circumnavigation of the lake is about 9 miles. At the widest portion, the lake is approximately 1/2 mile wide.
Potential issues: During summer, moderate to strong winds generally come up in the afternoon, and that can make the trip across the lake challenging and potentially dangerous. Also, summer thunderstorms can bring not only lightening but strong winds on the leading edge of the front. In July and August powerboats ply the lake from about 10 in the morning until dusk, potentially creating rough water
conditions.
