Directions: From Clearwater Junction turn north on Highway 83 and travel approximately 24.4 miles to Forest Service Rd 552. Turn left and travel for 2.2 miles to where Forest Service Rd 552 becomes Road 9973. Continue 1 mile to Marshall Lake Road 463. Turn right and go 2.9 miles to the lake.

Description of paddle: This small alpine lake sits in a heavily forested basin in the Mission Mountains. A circumnavigation of the lake is less than 2 miles. Because it is off the beaten track, it makes for a peaceful paddle.
Potential issues: During summer, moderate to strong winds generally come up in the afternoon, and that can make the trip across the lake challenging and potentially dangerous. Also, summer thunderstorms can bring not only lightening but strong winds on the leading edge of the front.
