Paddling on the lakes

Directions: From Clearwater Junction, travel east on Highway 200 for 5.9 miles.  Turn north on Woodworth Road 67 and go 3.3 miles.  Turn east and go 1 mile to the lake.

Latitude-Longitude: 47.04.680 / -113.13.321

Elevation: 4195 ft.

Lake size: 91 acres

Land ownership: Private with state campground

Facilities: State campground, single outhouse.

Boating regs: Motors allowed, no-wake speed limit.

How to launch: There is a boat ramp next to the campground at the south end of the lake.

Description of paddle: A guest lodge, along with several homes, are visible on the east side of the lake, so this paddle doesn't have much of a wilderness feel to it.  The lake itself is relatively shallow and sits in an open basin without a lot of shade.  A healthy growth of lilies covers portions of the lake during the summer.  A pair of loons may be seen or heard.

Potential issues: The only public land is at the launch site.  The remainder of the land around the lake is private.
